n this world of globalization computer plays vital role in our life. Many activities, which earlier used to take lot of time now, could be done easily and quickly. It also saves money for example first we used to spend lot of money for sending letters but today with use of e-mails time and money both are saved. We can use computers in many other ways other than sending and receiving mails... They are mainly used in Business, education, banks, entertainment, medical and homes.

Computer is widely used in business today. Almost all activities at workplaces are done on computer. Today business is expanded to different countries through computers. Data of same company in different countries is linked through internet, which could be stored on these computers to work on. All the paperwork of business is stored on computer in form of excel worksheet, databases. There is a system called DMS (document management system) which helps different franchisees to keep records of all its branches in a server at headquarters. Computer could store millions of files at a time and are easy to find whenever required. Different types of files are saved differently at different locations so it is easy to find a particular type of file from a particular location. Through computers, businesses could create different websites, attractive advertisements and complete marketing campaigns, which helps them to promote their business. Computer helps businesses in certain other ways, which also includes communication through computers employees could communicate to their employer or, to their customers or both of them at same time.

Education

Knowledge of computer today is so important that today computers are taught from elementary school and it never ends. Computer knowledge is so important today that in every field let it be for personal, business, or anything else computer is very important. It helps us in communicating with others, in research work, and many other works. Today in high schools and colleges, most of the assignments are done on computers and are submitted to instructor online through Internet. Students are taught to work on excel, access, HTML, java, animation, word, etc. students could save lot of data on computer to use later it could saves lot of papers and are easy access. Children could take help from classmates through social media. Google is a useful site, which helps in education. Learning is easy through visual illustration so when teacher in class shows video related to what he or she is teaching it is easy for students to memorize it. Further computer with internet is like having world on fingertips. Professor could share notes with students through internet like in our college we use slate, which is use for various purposes like doing quizzes, submitting assignments, doing exams, sharing notes and thoughts, and ask questions from our teachers. Students could go for conference calls among themselves and do their group projects jointly with being physically present at a particular place. Computers are used in education in many more ways.
